Educational Programs: KIND News

SNSI will Adopt-a-Classroom

In addition to helping with spay/neuter surgeries, SNSI believes education is vital to seeing positive, long-term changes for dogs and cats. Since 1997, SNSI has been sponsoring teachers through the Adopt-a-Teacher program.

Copies of a colorful newsletter entitled Kind News are mailed monthly for nine months to the participating teachers. There are three levels: kindergarten through second; third and fourth; and fifth and sixth grades.

In these newsletters are educational activities, puzzles, stories, and poems. Primary emphasis is to teach children about kindness to each other, the animals, and the earth.

This program expands each year thanks to generous donations. Children are our future and we must invest in our children and teach them care and kindness toward all animals.

Contact SNSI to find out how your class or school can become involved.
